Bridgestone finish on a high: 125 races in the GP2 Series

Bridgestone’s last GP2 Series race in Abu Dhabi on Sunday 14 November, was also the tyre manufacturer’s 125th race as official partner to the championship.  

Having been the sole tyre supplier to the GP2 Series for the last six years, Bridgestone has worked with many young drivers, a number of whom have graduated to the FIA Formula One World Championship where they have continued to race on Bridgestone Potenza tyres.  

In addition to the main series, Bridgestone has also supported the GP2 Asia Series since 2008, backing three seasons of the Asia based championship which has traditionally provided GP2 drivers with extra track time ahead of the full GP2 season.  

Leading up to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and to celebrate Bridgestone’s successful six-year partnership with the GP2 Series, this season’s GP2 drivers were photographed with Bridgestone Motorsport’s key personnel involved with the championship.
